Default Porsche 918 Spyder

I hadn't yet taken the time to revue Porsche's latest supercar. Until I watched the Nurburgring Video where it placed third on the Top 100 list with 6:57:00 behind two Radicals.....and then I remembered wait a minute this car is tagged as a "Hybrid"!

The Primer:

The skeleton:

Challenging traditional exhaust paradigms:

Awesome engineering IMO.

The 918 microsite: http://550.porsche.com/microsite/918...-electricdrive

Then there is the Weissach package to step it up a notch. http://550.porsche.com/microsite/918...apter-weissach

I found it interesting that they use a vinyl wrap vs paint to save additional weight. That says something about the future in my eyes.

Its something else isn't it? Their engineer's are probably some of the best in the world.

On a related note, bout 10 -15 years ago i read an article/comment by a reader in Car & Driver on why and how the Japanese and German's are kicking are a$$ at building cars. One word (acrynim) NATO. Our brightest engineers go where the monies at, the military, Germany and Japan cant. So their brightest go where the monies at,, Automotive and transportation.
I completely agree with the author.

For just under a million, Greg this would justify having to purchase the bigger shop, over in town...
Just sayin...
