How are you using the car and in what activities do you want most from the shocks?

What ever you do go through Ron. I cannot even explain what a huge difference his custom valving did for my car.

I say JRi, only because everything else on your car's suspension is from DSE, and you might as well keep it all DSE. I don't think you can go wrong with RideTech either. They build great quality parts and the cars I've driven with their shocks ride beyond well on the street.

If I were you I would call up JJ at JRi and tell him what you've got. He will make you order through DSE because JRi protects its vendor network. That's not why you want to talk to JJ though, you want to talk to him because he will provide some of the best support out there. I thought JJ was just a shock salesman at first, but literally helped dial in my Camaro, including crawling under it to wrench on it and change springs. I remember telling him how the car was behaving and then letting him make adjustments to get the car to react the way I wanted for specific corners. I probably took 2.5 seconds off a small autocross with just his tuning. I don't want it to sound like a shameless plug related to sponsorship I've received, because even though I have three cars with their shocks I've never received any product from them. Everything I have has been purchased through their vendor network, i.e. DSE Maier, Cortex. JRi's one on one support tailored exactly to what you want, backed up in person, with their knowledge base is hard to argue with. The reason I happen to have their shocks instead of RideTechs is simply do to the fact that the companies I've purchased from all choose to use them.

No worries Mario,

I am a fan of both of the shocks you're considering (JRI & Ridetech). In my experience these are the top two shock designs in their fields. They have different strengths & weaknesses.

I'll share a significant amount of info on shocks to help make your decisions. This is going to get pretty involved ... and wordy. So I am going to place my long-ass 2-part response on my "Overall Handling & Tuning for Track Performance" Thread, so everyone else reading my stuff can learn too.

Go HERE & start at post #360

I am specifically not commenting because I perceive you all want unbiased opinions and information. I find the thread fascinating because it is an indication of perception. Now I just need to figure out what develops the perception!

Please carry on...

We have Ride Tech shocks on Mary's Camaro & the One Lap Camaro & have been very happy with them. No leaks or problems of any kind over all the miles we have run them.
