Default Going "old school" for me:)

For years, I have always had a Vette as a apart of my stable but about 6 years ago, I sold my last one. Got the itch again and started searching for another one. Drove a buddy of mine's C7 ZO6, nice car but just didn't care for the lines of the new C7. I have always loved the C6 and decided on a ZR1. After 2 months of searching, I found the "right" unmolested one. A '12 that was owned by a 68 year old guy that had been babied for 1900 miles. So far, lowered, complete clear bra and tint. I have been driving it and love it. Going to do a few upgrades, nothing crazy, wheels, ported blower, small cam, headers, upper and lower pullies, injectors for now. Hope to make 725rwh. I actually love driving it stock..

Beautiful car! I have always wondered though, are the roof panels on these removeable like they are on the base and grand sport c6's? It looks like this car is a targa but I have never seen a z06 or zr1 with the top off.

Nice! Love the ZR1. How do you decide what to drive everyday? Those are some hard cars to pass up driving.

Very cool! I'm not one to give any advice, but I'll step out on a limb......May I suggest changing to color scheme on the engine cover to match the body color? That blue just looks odd with the red - - -at least to me it does.

Can't wait to see it once you are finished tinkering with it.

When's the last time you got the brewster green car out, SW? That one and your red one are my two favorites of your builds. The green one is easily top three builds from DSE to me, and I consider the top three to be a tie.

Have fun with the ZR1! I agree on the C6 looking better as well. I can't put my finger on what I don't like about the C7. It just doesn't do it for me compared to a widebody C6.
