Default Yes, we race in the rain...

A friend of mine more into drag racing and car shows came by the autocross I went to on Sunday in STL. He came in the afternoon, since it was raining in the morning. Was very surprised to find out we raced in the rain...

I explained to him that he missed all the fun!!!!

My first race this year was in March and it was snowing.

My poor man's traction control (running the defrost) became quite handy Sunday morning.

The irony for me was...I had just spent most of the day on Saturday detailing my car...which is something I haven't been very diligent about the last few years. It was spotless and shiny when I headed for STL Saturday evening, now...not so much.

Still worth it though.

Yep, it appears that way.

There was ZERO percent chance of rain in Sunday's forecast...

You are right. There was no rain when I left my house.

I have a pic somewhere of 2 of our guys standing in knee deep water, holding the cones we were trying to set up for an autocross one Sunday morning. We ended up cancelling. None of us had pontoons for our cars, lol.

We did have some issues maintaining the cone chalk markings on the course...understandably... Drywall dust is no match for a raging rainstorm.
