Fastest car I ever rode in as a teen was a friends 65 GTO. Had a 421 with an Edelbrock intake, Holley double pumper, Crane cam, Hooker headers, and a 4 speed with 4.11 gears. Destroyed several of the "fast" cars of the day. No idea what it actually ran in the 1/4 but to me it was a rocket. Always wanted one since.

It's funny, everyone loves the 65s. I prefer the 66 simply because the headlights are not slanted in the side profile. I just don't like the side profile of the 65s. 67s aren't bad but have too much chrome for me. That applies to the Chevelles, too. That silver one with the oversize ralley II's looks great though.

The 66/67's are so BIG. I've never measured them, but they look so long compared to the 65's.
