Default Hyperuetic pistons for sub-500 hp ?

hey guys

Just looking into Scat 9000 rotating assemblies. i just need some thoughts on hyper pistons for 400-450 hp and about the same torque.

I want to build a 383 for my daily driver Monte.

fur applications in that power level hypereutectics are great.. they also polish nicely on the piston top to keep some extra heat in the chambers and retain some free horsepower..

you can also install them backwards, that way you gain some top dwell (poor mans long rod engine) drawback is added noise but its also free ponies..

I have a scat 9000 rot assem. in my camaro (355 sbc) with hyper pistons i'm running about 475 hp on motor and i spray it with a 200 shot. I don't drive the car much but when i do take it out and run it i'm not nice on it and it's been together since 2003. So far so good. Also i'm running a scat 9000 pro comp light weight crank in my chevelle (406 sbc) thats pushing close to 650 on motor rods and pistons are forged but again i have a 100 shot on it. Might be pushing the limits there but it's held together for a year now without problems.

No problem. Just make sure you have it balanced by someone trusted. And make sure your tune is good detonation will cause problems.
