1970 LS1'd Camaro

Well been lurking here for awhile so I'll introduce myself and my father and I's project. I call it "theBitchin Camaro"

Started out as a Ebay special 1970 Camaro with a ZZ4 Crate motor, after not being able to sell the car (was looking for a 64-72 El Camino to haul my bike in) we deceided to put my favorite motor, an LS1, in her. Found a 99 LS1 on LS1tech here locally in DFW and started from there. Contacted Futral Motorsports since most of the off the shelf cams are for fuel injected LS1's and I wanted to kinda mix the old with the new in this project. Gave Futral the specs on the Heads I was running (mildly worked LS6 heads) and other information they needed. Assembled the motor using a short block as a basis but upgrading the rod bolts for strength. List off all the parts used on my cardomain page. Had a local shop install the motor, which they did a beyond what was needed job and made it look factory installed (IMHO) We are now installing C5 Front brakes and 4th Gen F-body rear brakes. Later more suspension work is needed but its running and I can take it to work on rainy days (I ride a motorcycle nearly all of the time)

This is not my 1st run in with classis car projects, my 1st was a 1966 Chevelle with a 454 in high school, then a 1970 340 Dart Swinger, then a 1970 Plymouth GTX & 1966 Plymouth VIP Fury. The Gtx was a our most customization project, wasnt as much as most of the guys on here but alot for 2 guys in a garage So wish me luck and thanks for looking
