michelin tires life span??

I am looking to buy a set of 335 30 18 michelin pilots off a guy.He has owned them for 2 years but never mounted them.They still have the stickers on them and was wondering what is the shelf life like on these things.They are in his garage and I imagine that its not heated and we have some colds winters here in Canada.What do you guys think?
