Thumbs up Brand new 6.2L L92 / LS3 crate engine - 403 hp stock

I have one brand new crate engine for sale. It is the 6.2L all-aluminum GM L92 403hp 417tq engine. These share the same block and heads as the LS3 Corvette engine. Builders have seen an easy 500+ hp with a simple cam, valvespring and header swap. Engine is complete from intake to oil pan, and has a water pump on it. All engine covers, coil packs, t-body, valvecovers, etc.. are on the engine.

FAQ: How is the L92 different from the LS3?

Ans: The L92 has slightly lower compression ratio, due to having valve reliefs on top of the pistons. The good news is that the L92 can run a more aggressive camshaft than the LS3 for that same reason. The LS3 uses lighter valves in the cylinder head, but these are easy to swap out if you choose to do so. The L92 has a taller truck-style intake manifold on it, due to it being standard in the Escalade and Denali trucks. The lower profile LS3 intake manifold bolts right on. The L92 has a deeper truck style oil pan on it. Any LS style oil pan will bolt right on.

Retail on this GM crate engine is $7300. See Jegs. I have this one for sale at $4500 plus shipping. It is already crated up and can be dropped off at a freight terminal. Local buyers (Houston, TX) can come pick it up. Typical freight charges are $150-300 from what I've seen.
