I have a question regarding the stripping of the paint and what you do next. Will you sand the sheetmetal with finer grade of paper or will you just spray on fillerprimer?

My concern is, that I have seen on my Camaro that was painted 15 years ago, when the paint settles and sink in you can after a few years see the whirltracks from the sanding. This since they used very coarse papers for stripping. You can see this on a lot of cars after a few years.

If you compare factory sheetmetal it is really smooth and fine. So wouldn't it be a good idea to sand it down with something like 400 paper before you spray on the first coat of primer?
