Default Update on my stolen El Camino...

I got a call this afternoon at about 4:15 while I was out with my folks. The Sheriff's dept. calling to let me know my car was recovered. The bad news (according to them) : It's somewhat damaged and partially stripped. They gave me the number of the towing company that has it at their yard. Go figure it's in southern Los Angeles, about 35-40 minutes from me. Well after getting our VIN from our insurance company, we called the yard and they looked the car up and came back, telling us that the car was completely vandalized, stripped of its wheels, motor, transmission, and possibly the interior (they didn't mention the interior) so both my dad and I got really upset. We had a lot invested in that car, even though it wasn't on the same level as the Chevelle. It hurt even more last night when he told me how excited he was when he first bought the car.

We're heading over to LA tomorrow morning to sort things out. Looks to be a total loss though.

Let's have a moment of silence for my poor El Camino... May it be at peace.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow I guess. If I can bring myself to even look at it.
