Are you going to end up using a newer style high-torque starter or could you machine up a manifold spacer to fit between the manifold and the head to give some more clearance? Thanks Paul, I discovered today that I got big block malifolds even though my order confirmation and my packing slip show for small block. At this point I'm just going to put my originals back on and try to deal with Parts Place.
