Default Which starter motor for BBC?

Which starter motor to buy?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What starters are you guys running?

I bought a cheapy no name brand high torque mini starter from ebay for mine, but i've been told to steer away from them.

It makes a high pitch whine when cranking over, and it didnt come with bolts or shims. I used normal bolts in it as the original bolts were too long. I've been told i need to use knurled bolts so the starter wont move. When it moves, it sometimes wont engage properly.

I'm looking to buy a new starter, but dont want to do this exercise again. Which one should i be looking at? I need offset bolt hole locations, and space is at a premium down there with tranny cooler lines and exhaust close by.

This is for a 454 big block with Turbo 350.

Any suggestions/feedback are welcome.
