After looking at my budget i would tend to agree with you.. there is no point spending 3K on wheels/tires when its a 10 min job to upgrade later...

im looking at some smooth ford style steelies (gennies) possibly with some in 5x15 and 8x16 with 500-15 fibbed front and 1000-16 (dot slick) firestone dragster tires...

not sure how horrible the handling would be thougt?
