Mark Williams 35 spline axles with what posi unit ??

Hi My buddy just asked me about using Mark Williams 35 spline axles with a posi unit. He has a MW spool in his 12 bolt now and was wondering if he coulds use the axles with somone elses posi unit or if they have to have a MW posi ? If anyone knows off hand please let me know. Thanks Wayne
