IMHO it wouldn't be "worse" or stiffer... that would be an issue with wider tires etc... and of course if you're not "moving". Watch out for the ratio --- too quick a ratio can be a handful on the street... especially with the freeway ruts and stuff now. If it were me - and I just had a new chassis built this way - I'd do Power R&P and Manual brakes... but that's just me.
