Efi Tank(same Old Questions !)

Alright, I've seen alot of posts about what EFI tank is best for a first gen camaro with an LS engine.It seems a Rick's stainless steel tank is the answer,however I have a problem spending $1200 on something if I don't really have to.The only other tank people talk about is a Spectra or Spectre?
tank that costs around $500 bucks, but I've seen alot of comlaints about fuel starvation or inaccurate level readings.So here's my questions...have they fixed those problems?
Is there some other company producing reliable tanks for around $500 bucks?
Should I buy a baffle/sump from Aeromotive for around $150 dollars and have it welded in a stock $120 dollar tank and be done with it ?
Lastly...is the Corvette bypass/regulator the way to go so I don't have to run a return line all the way from the front of the car?Just a short little jog...

So what are your oppinions ? (i guess thats the last question !)
