Default My '66 Elky build - "CaMEANo"

New to the site, but have been building the El Camino since January. I was trying to make this past Goodguys Lonestar Nationals event with it, but realized a few weeks prior that it wasn't going to happen. So things have slowed down a little bit with no deadlines to meet. I am hoping to have it ready for the new Spring event in March though.

Some specs...
-383 Stroker (built by my friends at Day Custom Engine in Richardson, Tx)
-Edelbrock HP force heads
-Weiand Speed Warrior intake
-Holley 770 street avenger
-Mallory HEI dist.
-Hedman shorty headers
-LT1 style T56 transmisison
-Hurst Billet shifter

-Global West upper and lower front control arms
-2" drop spindles, 1" drop springs
-CPP 12" drilled/slotted discs
-Willwood dual piston calipers
-Detroit Speed Power booster/Master cylinder
-1-1/4" sway bar
-13:1 600-series style steering box
-Edelbrock upper and lower rear control arms
-9" Ford rear axle - 3.50 gears
-BMW 7-series 18" wheels
-Sumitomo HTR-ZIII tires

-Vintage Air Gen IV A/C
-Ididit tilt column
-Lincoln MKZ power seats
-4th gen F-body console
-Detroit Speed wiper motor

Bringing it home...

It was mostly complete except for a gutted interior. The plan was to get it running and throw some paint on and drive it. But it didn't take long to come up with other more expensive plans.

Mostly smoothed firewall..

Firewall modified with a new lower column mount and for a 4th gen. corvette clutch M/C to work with a stock clutch pedal.
