Default 3-Link Question

I remember reading somewhere here on the Forum that the typical stock car 3-link does not work well for use on a road course. If I remember correctly it doesn't transfer weight properly with both right and left turns. I recall someone saying that the link off the pumpkin should be offset to one side as apposed to directly in the center.

Anyone remember why this theory holds water? I am putting the rear suspension back together and at this point could offset to one side or the other if it will make a significant difference.

I appreciate your help,

Aron
