Default can you use your orginal guages?

i plan on putting a new hemi (5.7/6.1) in my 64 dart. i have an dash mod idea that consists taking a dash from another year car and cutting it down to fit in my 64. i really like the guages on this other dash and was wondering if i can use these even though the rest of the car will be updated with more modern day electrical stuff? i see alot of old cars running autometer gauges. is this a must? the reason for wanting to use the other dash is because of these two beautiful gauges on each side of the steeringwheel with everything on both round clusters. autometers biggest guage is 5" across, the guages on the dash i want to use are 6-7" across. anyone know of a company besides autometer that makes large guages? thanks
