I am glad to see that me and my wife are not alone with this. We found out that we are unable to have children so we decided we wanted to adopt. We went through all of the classes that are required by the state and you are right it is a long process. The worker then told us that we would be able to adopt quicker if we fostered to adopt. Within two weeks of completing our class we were contacted about a newborn girl. She was born drug addicted, the mother was still using and the father did not want anything to do with her. We finally got her home two weeks after she was born, and the first two months were very hard. My wife and I were both new parents and she was still getting the drugs out of her system. The next ten months were great though. After that the father decided that he wanted the baby back, and after a long court battle he was rewarded custody. It broke our hearts, We felt like we had been with her through the hard times and when we were able to enjoy her she was taken from us. We took some time off and have now decided to try again. We felt like we were alone in this process but its good to see we are not. Good luck with the process in the future I know everything will work out for you. Richard
