So the charcoal canisters off the newer cars need to be connected to the ECM to work properly? I want to get a 67-68 Camaro gas tank and move the gas cap up between the tail lights on my Nova, along with using a non-vented cap. It looks like using a charcoal canister would be the best solution for venting it.

I was already planning on using one when I did my LS swap, but I'm willing to do it with the SBC if it'll stop the gas spillage and odors.

What's the simplest setup for a carbureted engine? I mean what range of cars should I look for at the junkyard, and how would I connect it?

Maybe I should have swiped the canister off my old BMW before I dropped it off at the junkyard.
