Question DSE Upper Shock Mount Question???

So soon I will be installing my DSE upper shock mount for leafs. I know it is suppose to go on an angle form side to side (staggered shocks) but it there a benefit to doing this way?? The reason I ask is that I may want to go with the
q-link at a later date and if I put it in straight I should be able to set it up for both. The cross members are the same so I know that won't be an issue. Just want to know what the down side will be if I don't stagger the shocks?
