I have had several ask that I start a thread on this car that I just got from Cdushane. I am sure most of you have seen it around in the classified ads as well as other places since Ironworks did a lot of fabrication work on the car when someone else had it. So, the car has been in the works for several yrs now and has had multiple owners and with each was put on the backburner to be completed later. With that said, I named this "project mulligan" since the car has been given yet another opportunity/redo for completion. I was lucky enough to be able to pick up such a good car with a lot of the hard work already completed. The car is in really good shape since it spent most of its life in california and retains all the original body panels with the exception of the tailpan and it does have some of the original azure turqouise paint in the jams and under the decklid. The fabrication to the car that Ironworks has done is absolutely top notch work!! Now to just rehash some of the custom work done to the car to this point. The bumpers have already been shortened/tucked in by 2" on each side front/rear, custom 3.5" exhaust built for the car that exits through the tailpan and has the rear floor pans raised for muffler clearance, minitubs installed, DSE frame connectors, DSE speed kit 3 subframe, Chris Alston coilover rear setup, rollcage with halo bar that goes through the dash into an X and then motor bars that tie into that. The trunk has the X as well between the tubs. Custom dash in the car to be made to look like the cowl induction goes straight through from the hood to the dash. The cowl panel was never completed on the car, it still had a lot of fab work to be done. I actually cut out what was there (tack welded in) and was considering just going with a carbon fiber cowl panel. After cleaning the car out I discovered there was another cowl pan that had been somewhat modified in the same way as what was tack welded in. I tried it on the car and found it was much closer to completion, so I started working with it to get to the point its at now, which really fits nice. I am really excited about this car and the component/wish list that I have planned out for it. I plan on having the car completed in the next few months. See what you guys think.
