Ring gear ?
Ok guys here's one for you differential gurus. Hopefully this isn't a stupid question but I am wondering if there are any benefits to using studs in the ring gear vs using bolts ? I'm inquiring on this because i've never heard of it being used (and there could be a good reason not to). I'm not even sure if such a stud is manufactured or on the market. I know alot of engine builder use cylinder head studs instead of bolts for better clamping force and help saving the block threads. Just checking with some of you guys to see if you have ever seen or heard of this practice. Looking forward to your replys
