Default Electrical issue

I am going through the whole issue and hopefully I can get this problem resolved. It startes with a battery relocation. I ordered Madd electricals kit including relays for the headlights and starter for my 68 Camaro. Before I started the relocation I installed new autometer gauges and everything worked before I started the relocation. I got all the relays installed and still have to run cable to starter from solenoid in trunk so the starter is still out. Decided to try headlights to make sure they worked. NOT!! The dash lights come on and so do the turn signal indicators. Tried the falshers with the headlights on, nothing. Turned the headlights off and turned the flashers on and the dash lights flashed but were very dim. I am totally confused, checked the relay wiring and it is good. Ran a ground from the battery to the engine block and then radiator support nothing helped.
It has 2 wire for the high beam from the dash and 2 for the low beam. I just spliced them together to the in and out of both relays.Man that was a mouthful.
It has a painless or a pain in the a_ _ wiring kit in it.
