Frame table/fixture table ideas

Hey guys,

I don't post on here much at all but I'm going to be getting more involved here because I'm trying to get my shop up and running to start making some extra cash as well as working towards my career goals.

I'm wanting to build a nice frame/fixture table mostly for my 69 fastback that I'm building now, but I don't want to short myself in the long run by making it too small.

So far it's gonna be something like this.

Dimensions:

192" (16') long X 78" (6.1/2') wide X 30" high.

Materials:

Main structure, 4" x 4" x 1/4" square tubing
Top plate, two 8' x 1/2" plates that will bolt on with counter sunk bolts.

What do you guys think of my material choice? I feel like it's way overkill better over than under, but I'm thinking of possibly going with lighter materials to save some money as I'm on a fairly tight budget and would like to get my top plates at least blanchard ground. Should I just stick with this material and possibly skip the grinding till a later date? Or go thinner and have more funds for the top plates?
