Default Adapt a rack and pinion or stay factory?

So i have been questioning myself for some time now. I haven't decided if going to a power steering rack would be gaining me anything or not. price wise, the steering rack seems more affordable at this point over a Lee box and new steering arms. I have a 67 GTO, which flaming river (have heard very bad things about) and unisteer offer kits already (which does not look very confidence inspiring), or i can fab up mounting locations myself. If you recommend to add my own from scratch, how do i go about figuring out correct geometry and location? Or do you suggest i stay with factory type steering. Car will be used for street driving and plenty of auto-x and road course events. Thanks!
