Black Magic fan

I have a new in the box Flex a lite Black Magic fan. I was planning on using it to cool a stock 5.0 Explorer engine that is currently living in a 1980 Volvo.
I've seen and heard questionable reviews. I think I should look elsewhere and am wondering about what would be a good brand to consider.
Performance and quality are a given, also low noise would be needed.

I know I could Google this stuff, but I trust this crowd to be detail oriented,
as in somewhat civilized.
