Default Engine plates

So, I've got a question about engine plates... Unfortunatley I don't any history on this truck other than the guy I got it from got it from a guy who owed him money and he got it from someone else.. Well, some hacked out the old mounts and F'd the frame... My question is should I repair it or, just go to motor plates?? My question about plates is. isn't the motor suppose to sit on a 3 degree angle??? If you run plates the engine stis straight and throws off the angle of the driveshaft??
