Default E-rod vs. aftermarket cats

In my current build, I am looking to swap in a LSA/t56 into my 69 Camaro. Full DSE setup for what's it worth. This swap will have catalytic converters as I dislike smelling like unburnt fuel after driving my old cars. My wife sure would appreciate that as well. As significantly improved as the LS motors are over an old school SBC in that regard, it is still present. Trying to build a powerful, yet quieter and clean street car.

I am looking at 2 options, swap in a regular LSA and install some aftermarket cats in the exhaust. The other option is to go with the E-rod version of the LSA, which already has the cats. I cant find any dimensions on the e-rod cats, to see if they would fit relatively unmodified. Obviously, there is the draw back that the e-rods have cast manifolds/2.5" exhaust and the other option would be Headers/3" exhaust. Cost beneficial, but maybe a potential loss of power? Not looking to mod the LSA any further than stock for now.

Thoughts/ideas/problems?

Thanks,

Jason
