Default Carbs to EFI conversion

Hi, i'm considered new to the EFI conversion, and have been wondering on certain issues for a while -thats why the founding of this site has been such a blessing, it is truly the best of both worlds...

Since i am new, my questions lay around:

I have a 540 BB: what would i need to convert my engine into a EFI system? (I have read the threads on certain tuning systems such as F.A.S.T and Holleys selection) but what i need is a parts list or idea so i could start browsing.

My project leads me to 3 alternatives:
1. Stick with what i have and add a 6-71 Blower (concerns that it would be too top heavy)
2. Convert to EFI with the addition of a Turbocharger
3. Convert to EFI with the addition of a Supercharger (Procharger)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of converting to EFI? (in retrospect to the idea of Forced Induction as well)
My project's goal is to be a 10 second daily driver (which i drive only on weekends, but aim high just in case)

Too many questions, i know but I'd appreciate any insight and help.

Thank You.
Jason B
