Tremec TKO 600

Can someone talk me into or out of buying the Tramec TKO 600 for my 67 Camaro. I have a 468 BBC, Super T-10 (iron case), 12 bolt (4.10:1), and ladder bars right now. My car is not yet on the road, actually in the body shop getting painted. With as much money as I have spent on the Camaro so far, its hard to swallow the $3000 for the TKO 600. I've been trying to use gas milage to justify the purchase but still can't seem to push myself to buying it. So..... Help..... Should I buy or no?
