Default Dakota Digital cruise module mounting?

Any 1st gen. Camaro owners out there that can share where you mounted your Dakota Digital cruise module?
I bought a CRS-3000 system a couple years ago, but never installed it. As I have a long cruise coming up in a few months, I am now thinking I'll wish I had it if I don't. The problem is where to locate the module.
I can't fit it under the dash as it is plumb full of other stuff, and I don't want to clutter up the engine bay.

I was thinking of mounting it between the driver side inner & outer fender, but my guy at DD says I need to have access to the module for dialing it in after installation, and where I was planning will not allow for that.
I am stumped, and am hoping someone can give me a new idea.
