So this car was an all original paint car. The plan was to to just leave it as is. Although not a pretty patina... That was the plan. Well... My buddy Jim, aka Painter, said... Come on... Let's just do a quick scuff and shoot. Make it look a little nicer. So James ended up scuffing the whole car with 220. Joey, little bro, even got in the mix working on the hood for us. We took it to Jim's and the plan was to toss a few coats of filler primer on it, quick block and be done. We'll... That escalated quickly. Turns out the paint was dead and was flaking off. So Jim stripped the entire car. We knew we had a couple rust spots that needed to be addressed. Aside from that though that car was extremely clean. When we gutted the inside we found a Lowenbrau beer cap under the drivers seat. This car had been sitting since 1983. Wonder how long that had been there? James was going to throw it away. I plan on cleaning it up and leaving it in the glove box. Keep that memory alive.
