I can tell you have done your homework. You point out some clear considerations that would need to be addressed to successfully engineer the adaptation of the C4 suspension parts to the 1st Gen frame. I am also an engineer by trade and I definitely need to do more homework to see if there are feasible solutions to the issues you point out, that would bear out continuing with the stock 1st Gen subframe.
