Default The longest story gone short

Well, I ducked out for awhile and had to wait for the smoke to clear. My original financial backer went kindof retarded with the chevelle beyond my control awhile ago with a few things. Recently, desperate to get out from underneath it, she put it up on ebay as an unfinished car, poorly respresented. Desperate not to let the car go, I convinced a friend of mine to purchase it so that I could finish it my way and the car would at least be what I once set out to build. Also, I wanted to make sure the few sponsors we had saw their investments through. I've been working on the car again for the last three weeks and I just delivered the car to my friend on Wednesday to do some final undercarraige and paint detail. The car is finally complete. In frustration with an untuned fuel injection system, the previous backer had a shop convert the car over to carburetion without my consent or knowledge until it had been finished. Aside from that, a roll cage and some interior trim, the car is virtually the car I designed three and a half years ago. I learned some valuable and expensive lessons in the process.
There was a lot of trauma and I have many friendships to fix but I wanted to post here and let you guys know that I didn't go down and I didn't give up. I fought hard for what I believed in and although shaky at first I can finally tell you guys that I'm proud of this car that I've built. It runs amazing, handles like crazy and stops like a tow line grabbed it on an aircraft carrier. I have a lot of people to thank and I don't want to make this post some kind of crappy oscar speech. There are a lot of people on this site that made a lot of things on this car possible and all of you know who you are. Marcus Savitske especially deserves a lot on this car and I'm working on getting him some worthwhile recognition for it. So here's a quick crappy video and some pictures. Thank you guys for everything. The website is being redone and the final version will be up Monday night for more info. It's going to be www.genesischevelle.com
