Almost no tickets on 2007 PT

I made it home in the Ultima tonight. 2900 miles total, 22 mpg avg.
I was 10 minutes from home and I encountered a state trooper. He passed by as I was coming up to a stop on a side road, he did a double take. I pulled out behind him, kept it at 55, he was about a half mile ahead and was slowing down and pulled to the side of the road to wait for me, I turned on the next side road before I got to him. Sure enough he turned around and came after me. Cop was asian kid about 22, looked 16. Asked a few questions about the car, checked everything then wrote me for no front plate.
