I'm running the Varishocks on my 68 Firebird, however it is still in the build-up phase and I haven't driven the car yet. They are definitely a top-notch product and seem to adjust very easily. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

and while your at it... please post more info on the bmw dash swap.. are you running the bmw heater too??

yeep. when i do my setup, i will post the complete story.
my camino becomes a complete new suspension setup, new exhaust, engine modifications and new paint.
the winter is not long enough

yes, when i´m bought 1997 the Camino, the car have no heater, the previus owner remove all the stuff. here some old pics, sorry for the bad quality.
here is a pic from the bmw heater installation

and here the original bmw gauges removed and the autometer in the dash




the dash is not the problem, the most work and modifications i have with the lower center console. the original bmw console is to low and to small, some homemade work.


on this pic on the left side, behind the black plate with the decals is the heater assembly, needs just a small place

OK, you asked for it......
1st, I would strongly recommend that you consider some alternatives to the Spohn lowers. I bought mine from Marcus and had several issues;
  1. They had to be sent back to Spohn to have the mounts widened . They claimed that the delrin bushings were not as forgiving as rubber and that may cause some fitment issues.
  2. mark had to cut off and reweld the sway bar mount because it's position did not allow the sway bar to mount vertically which caused interference with the turn radius.
  3. depending on your Wheel/tire setup the lower mounting plate could scrub the inner surface of your wheels on a full turn.
As far as the varishocks the one thing I will say is do not waste your money on Alstons adjustment tool. It's all but worthless. I cut the handle off of mine and welded an old 3/8" drive socket on it so I could attach a long ratchet to it . Alstons is just too short to do any good on a G body.
Let me also mention that my lowers were originally for standard coil springs and shocks, but I was told they would work fine since there is verly litle difference between them and the coil over design.
