I like this one but I'm biased LOL! Where's the RS grills? Is this modified Camaro a GM offering or an aftermarket company? I like the chin. The rear wing has got to go, looks like it belongs on the trunk lid of an Integra to me.

Dodge pulled it off with the challenger and ford pulled it off with the mustang

Now, if it actually looked like that but with a higher, more sensible roofline I would be all over that car! Nice rendering BTW! The wheels in your sketch are much, much better and stick with an old-skool 5-spoke concept (assuming 18" diam, not a useless, heavy 20"+), the headlamp covers would be a simple addition and look great with that grill concept(!), of course the period correct spoiler looks right and I agree with a previous statement that their wing design belongs on a ricer (looks horrible and would be no better than a spoiler performance-wise anyway with that roofline). If they want to put a wing on it, put a fricken wing on it like the C6Rs and do it right for crying out loud.

Dig your scoop design and the mirrors too (I HATE the mirrors they have), but those could be easy after-purchase changes.

The car is too chopped for me to like, but that may not be the general population opinion of course. The Challenger is about 1" too low, the Mustang is spot on visually. SOT but if you ever actually wanted to track the car, how you gonna wear a helmet in that????? I have had my helmet rub on roofs of low-lined cars as is, let alone something chopped down like that. In the event of a rollover, I don't want immediate impact with the roof... the helmet may work but my vertebrae aren't going to like that squeeze much!

I'm a little concerned about the pricing of Camaro. I don't know if it's true or not but I heard the V8 car will be around $35K.

Chrysler just announced that the V6 Challanger will be in the low 20's. If the 5.7 Hemi Challanger is just under $30K...we're going to be in big trouble.

As far as the kit, it's a snapshot of where the development is. I'm not really gonna hang a lot of weight on these "progress" photos. I'll tell you one thing from experience, comparing clay to painted parts is like night and day. They never look integrated before paint.

I personally like some body kits as long as they're not overdone. Some people hate them because they look too "tuner". It looks to me like the kit needs a little more refining but I think it's a pretty cool direction. I also think that ANYTHING looks better than that Walmart grill that came on the concept car and the spy shots I've seen. However, I keep getting a late 80's Lumina Z34 vibe....good/bad?

The small wheels totally change the 'vert. It looks longer and lower but less aggressive. Just my $.02

so I went to the Denver auto show yesterday, they had the 09 ZR1 the new Camaro concept and the Challenger in orange and black with a classic orange and black challenger nearby on display

The Camaro looks like a$$ even in person IMO. The Challenger looked a bit chopped to me in photos, but it is really a roofline roll thing (that may be hard to get what I mean but best I can come up with ) It looks pretty freakin' cool actually. It has the typical really tall mid-section so common with Dodge vehicles these days that I am not too keen on (the car needs sectioned about 2") but I *think* that is trying to make the car fit the fricken wheels (the wheelwells are monsterous). Still, overall looks awesome and I am really waffling whether I like the GT500 or the SRT better visually.

The main thing I noticed standing there watching the spinning display is that women LOVE the car (not sexist, but let's be real... generally women couldn't care less about cars and are at those shows cuz the husband/BF/? drug them there haha). It was more often than not the guy was checking out the old car display, the woman would have wandering eyes and see the SRT spinning on the display and start in "honey, honey, OMG! look at that! wow! " etc etc while grabbing a hand and dragging the guy over there.

That tells me that they hit it right on the head!! If you can get both parties interested in the car, that will lead to sales for sure.

Now the ZR1. A bit ghetto with the see thru hood and after hearing all the guys standing around me seeming to make the same comment amongst themselves, but after that, that car is going to be a beast. Just unbelievable what GM is doing with the Vette in recent history. I more or less am still a blue blooded Ford guy, but GM has it all right since updating the Vette to the C6 (styling is much better than the C5 tho' I would still like a pop-up headlight) and introducing the "SBF" LSx series engines. Ford screwed up with that mod-motor crap and so forth IMO. Anyway, off rant, the spokesman talked to us for a bit about the ZR1 and all I can say is I am impressed. For the money (which I don't have BTW ) that car is a value by comparison to other super cars, tho' I think you could do much more with a $50K base model and $50K dumped into it (same money) but I am no collector.

Even as Designed its ugly as sin.
That body kit is horrible.


That rendering on the other hand looks pretty nice.
the problem though is that the car is ugly from most veiwing angles

And I agree after seeing the challenger in person that the car is beautifull.
you may see me driving aroung in an R/T when they are released. Dodge nailed that one!
