Thanks Frank, I the guy helping me do the brakes advised I will need it for safety thats why I was going to use it. Do most of these auto cross cars just leave it out?

Frank is right, put it down low and adjust once and forget it. You need it in the system for better control.

Clean is my middle name but having a proportioning valve under the master cylinder is no a big deal. Maybe I am lazy and don't want to have to crawl under mycar to make a brake bias change. I don't like where you have it do to header heat. The brake line should be on the outside of the frame. I have mine bent around the bulkhead, inside the parking brake nuts, down between the firwewall and inner fender, ...etc.
