Project Sinister Update:

I had the oppotunity to see SINISTER in person recently. My wife and I stopped by the shop on our cross-country vacation.

SINISTER looks great in-person. Photos are nice, but there is nothing like seeing it in person, especially in this stage of the project.

Keep up the great work...... and I'm glad to hear that you plan on driving the car a lot. These (our) cars should be driven!

I hope this is'nt a dumb question. On he rear bumper did you fabricate the ends or did you cut down the originals??

We modified the stock ends. Looked into modifying 69' front bumper ends, but the peak wouldn't have the same effect on the back.

more shots of the rear bumper and shows how the ends were reshaped to give the bumper more of a similar look to the front. The stock rear bumper just looked to much of a bubble.





I like how they use the quarter panel as a sketch pad.



This shot also shows where the license plate recess on the bumper was shortened to match the opening in the rear valance.
From the factory the bumper opening is wider than the valance.

Next time you are out there you should start taking the tape off the wheels..that might take a while! What's it been two years?

Thanks Anthony. Of all the things Bob would change, the use of "Home Depot" blue tape would probably be number 1.
