It's like fitting your size 10 foot in a size 8 shoe. 3 inchers are going to be super tough unless you buy ovals or don't want your car as low as possible. Notching the trunk is the best way.

They notched the trunk on Lisa's car.

Dog earing the fuel tank is a big help. You can always go to 2.5" after the mufflers with little if any power loss....really depends on motor output I guess. Personally I would do what ever it took to get the pipes to the rear of the car.

What are we down to....one more week before the homecoming?

My tank is notched but you have to get your pipes past that wicked bend and upper link first. 2.5 inchers would defiintely help.

The exhaust on Velocity is really simple (ok, we cheated and used an aftermarket tank). But it simply goes under the rear end:

I don't think many are excited about exhaust under the rear end. Looks kind of half assed if you ask me.
