Sata or Iwata. We just got another Sata Digital RP and it came with 2 tips, one for base, one for clear. I set it up with 1.3 tips. We used it on Larrys MotiV8tr last Friday and it laid out killer. Real happy with it.

Iwata makes some awesome guns, but I think you will need 2 guns with Iwata as each is pretty specific.

I second that! I use the Sata for my metallics and pearls and the Iwata LPH 400 for the clear. The Iwata has the same options as the Sata as far as air cap changes

I would buy a Sata Jet3000 HVLP with a 1.3 tip.

I have a Sata Jet 2000 HVLP 1.3 for base and a Sata 3000 RP 1.3tip for clear(this gun is the ****)

Just bought a Sata 3000 HVLP, not sure if i will use this for base and and have the 2000 for sealer.

Another for Sata. I was able to use my 2000 with really good results and I have no formal training, I credit it to the gun.

Sata 3000 RP I prefer a 1.4 tip for bases and clear. This gun will make you look like a professional if you can keep it from running...

Default sata 3000

I have heard that the sata 3000 is a little on the heavy side, but holds up real well. I think I will buy one and try it out. Thanks for the replies guys. I hope one day I could actually post some pics of progress.
