Mike no prob man, I did not think you were making any accusation, I was just more explaining where it came from. I knew when we started that comparison was going to be made. Kinda like painting a second gen orange, its gonna get compared!

Jr's car is a little different. This was the original rendering Kyle and I worked on.

I'm working on one right now that has a somewhat similar appearance too. As soon as anyone does a 2tone silver split by something orange/red it's gonna be mistaken for being a copy of some sort. It's a popular color combo and there's only so many variations you can try to keep it unique while looking great.

Looks great Carter!

Yeah Kris those are from Surrlands site. I also purchased a few locations from him as well so you will see some more of his backgrounds in some of my future works.

Ben you are so right. Chad actually saw one I did several years ago (before I started doing 3d) of a camaro called illusion and wanted one similar but with some color changes.

Thanks again guys for the positive words.

Carter

Haha good find. That background's actually a free sample over at HDRI Locations. They offer some really nice background plates and have some nice samples on their site, www.hdri-locations.com.

Nice renders Carter!
