It's been a while but I have a pretty exciting update. Got back from Christmas vacation to some awesome progress. I really like the direction they are going. He had the panel done that fits over the amp and the rear package tray but didn't get any photos. They said it sounds great ...but the battery was out. Really looking forward to them working the back seat. Findlay Customs has some talent. Check it out.

Yep....I didn't even figure out the port deal. The rear package tray and roll bar pieces were pure art in themselves. It's getting some type of suede over it. What are you trying to say flash.
The best part of the whole deal is there is a $450,00 Mercedes SL Mclaren blah blah in the shop across the way. Joe the manager said everyone that walks in the shop hasn't even noticed it. They walk right to that old American iron!

Todd, do you kno when they installed your 2 6x9s and your sub, did they cut the package tray sheet metal underneath to accomodate the depth of the sub and speakers?

Vic, to be perfectly honest, I don't know the answer. I know the sub and port are contained in it's own box and bolted to the car and I believe package tray. From the photo, the 6x9's look like they are also part of the box. I gave Findlay Customs free reign and permission to cut up the back package tray. I could sure take a look for you. I'd love to shed this weight....

Default Great project update

Todd, Very nice thread. I have enjoyed looking at the progress of the 69. I also live in Henderson, although not Hendertucky. I have a 67 convertible project currently under way. I would love to look and get some ideas for by build. I have alot of my parts already and will be welding the new floor board in next week.
