True, but if I can remember right, there is supposed to be a ton of room even for a large pump.

Sorry guys, forgot to mention that is is a big pump from RobbMc, the one that can supply 1100 hp. http://www.robbmcperformance.com/ima...hevy1100HP.jpg There is a lot of big headed screws on the bottom of that and with them there is no way it will fit. Tried to remove all of them on the side that hits and that gives just enough so that it will fit but it will rest on the frame and I will have to install some kind of other screws with a flat head leaving me with same problem. I think the motormounts are fine. The motor is pretty new, 20.000 miles and everything was changed back then.
There is plenty of room for a "normal" pump but I would hate not being able to install this new absolutely awesome pump.

I would heat and hit it but notch out a section and reinforce it.

Big block or small block? You have three choices. Notch the frame, use an electric pump, or if your have big block stands, use small block mounts but that opens a whole new can of worms.

Its a crate 385 Fastburn smallblock. I think I am going to install the carter pump for now and have my mechanic do the heating and hitting. There is already an indention in the frame for the pump, just have to enlarge it a little bit.
