Just today one of the co-directors I sit on a board with says to me:

BM: "So how's your musclecar coming along"
Me: "Yeah really good, should go to paint in July or Aug"
BM: "So how much will you have in it by the time it is done"
Me: "More than I planned and I planned $150K, but I don't have the skill nor time to build it the way I want so it's getting professionally built"

BM: "Wow, so you don't have the time to build it, oh well what a waste of money as you therefore won't have the time to drive it"

"That thing gotta HEMI?" when the hood is popped open and the skinny valve covers from a 440 look very much like the ones on a 426.

This one from a ricer kid: "Nice turbo, what size is it?" when he's pointing at my alternator. I just look at him and walk away shaking my head.

I was at a gas station filling up my brothers 1979 Volvo 240 when the guy at the next pump started staring at it. After a while he goes "Man that's a great car, I used to have one just like it. Except it was a Datsun"

My sister looks just like Cindy Crawford. Except she's shorter, and her face is different.

Default Flathead or Hemi

My buddy has his old ford flathead motor in the bed of his truck taking it to the shop to get it built. He stops for lunch and this guy and his girlfriend walk buy his truck and see the motor, this guy tells my buddy nice hemi. He told the guy is was a flathead ford not a hemi. The guy looks at his girlfriend and says that dude doesn't even know what kind motor he has.

I recently bought a 69 Firebird in Cali, towed it to Portland where I bought a 68 which I drove home to Idaho while my buddy towed the 69. Crack heads were coming out of the wood work everywhere we stopped. I don't mind talking about my cars for a min but it's constantly people saying the dumbest stuff. I try not to get annoyed but it's almost enough to make me not even want to drive my cars.
