This is what I am doing for paint. The grey will be darker on the car than it looks in the rendering, and the hood color is black. Not sure how much "sheen" the black will have yet. If you went with a two tone on yours the black could follow the raised portion of your hood, or do the bottom half of the car black and the top half grey. Look up Ben Hermance here and see about having him do some designs for you. That way you can get a really good idea how it will look finished. hermancedesign.com

Having seen it, and drawn it, splitting a 2 tone at the body line that goes from above the front wheel down to in front of the rear wheel looks very 70's...if that is what you are going for, knock yourself out, but if not, I would advise against it!
The upper body line is a nice sharp line and a good place to split the colors.

If I do a two tone, upper bodyline is where I would split it. I have seen it done at the lower swooping bodyline and you are right, very seventies and not a look I am going for.
