[QUOTE=dwfastcam;234037]Ha Ha, wow,
Looks like they used a car battery and some coat hanger rod!!!!

DW --

I used to weld back in high school (well, I still weld) but back in the day we 'stick welded' every thing... even when I was a freshman in HS I could weld better than the crap on my chassis.

The originator of this thread however... can weld with his eyes closed - one hand behind his back - and hanging upside down from the Empire State building I think! They are without a doubt the most beautiful little stacks I've ever seen.

I will also have to agree that the originator of this thread, Brooks is the best welder that I have ever seen. I am no stranger to welding, I learned on a little mig, have done a little tig, and now I run a LN-25 .068 wire, and have learned to stick as an H.D.R welder for heavy equiptment.
This thread is truly inspirational for the art of welding and fabrication, and I can only hope that in time, to be half as good with a tig as Brooks.

I apologize for poking fun at the welds that you found on your ride, I understand that you did not weld them.

No apologies required - If I didn't expect them (the pictures of the really, really BAD welding) to be made fun of - I would have never posted them. To the contrary - I posted them for that very reason!

Okay - so here's the "deal" --- you need to make a VIDEO of your technique and post it so the rest of us might have a chance (yeah right!) at being 1/3rd as good...

I'm serious -- I'd love to be able to observe your technique - 'cause you got it down buddy!
